Parking & Transportation

Limited street parking is available near FMW but requires navigating narrow city streets and parallel parking.

Parking: Sidwell Friends School has graciously offered parking for Interim Meeting, and BYM will provide a shuttle that runs between Sidwell and FMW. The entrance to the Sidwell parking garage (3845 Wisconsin Avenue NW) is located at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Rodman Street NW. You may park in any spot - including those labeled reserved for Staff and Students.

A BYM Camps mini-vans will transport Friends from the Sidwell Parking Garage to Friends Meeting of Washington. The shuttle will depart from the entrance to the Sidwell Parking Garage at 9:00am, 9:30am, and 10:00am. The shuttle will depart FMW to return Friends to Sidwell at 1:30pm, 2:00pm, and 2:30pm.

Metro: Friends are encouraged to take the Metro train to Dupont Circle. It is a 0.3 mile, 6-minute walk from the North Dupont Metro exit to FMW. When exiting Metro at Dupont Station, be sure to take the North exit - toward Q Street. Free weekend parking is available at many Metro stations. We recommend parking at a Red Line station such as Shady Grove or Grosvenor for the shortest trip. Red Line Stations Wheaton or Glenmont also offer free parking with a longer train ride.
