Giving to BYM Camps
100 YEARS OF FIRE AT THE CENTER Since 1922, Baltimore Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) has ministered to the spiritual growth and joy of young people through the ambitious summer camping program of BYM Camps. Over the last 100 years, BYM Camps has grown to a family of four summer camp programs spread along the Appalachian Mountains – Opequon, Catoctin, Shiloh, and Teen Adventure. Serving more than 600 young people each year, each of our four camps offers distinctive programming tied together by the belief that there is “that of God” in each of us. We build vibrant, diverse, and youth-centered camp communities where everyone can find – and shine - their Light.
Your gift to the BYM General Fund supports all we do - including the day to day costs of operating BYM Camps. However, special giving opportunities help us with routine capital projects, such as replacing cabins as they age, and making camp affordable for all families through camperships. Our exciting Special Campaign for Opequon Quaker Camp helps our creative arts camp make an exciting move to its new location in West Virginia.
