Adelphi Friends Meeting (Hyattsville, MD)

Young Friends should plan to begin arriving at 7:00 pm on Friday. For information, check the Young Friends website (www.bym-rsf.org/what_we_do/yfs/yfcon.html) or contact Jocelyn Dowling. (301-774-7663) Remember that the deadline to register at the discounted rate and be guaranteed a slot is two weeks before the conference. Any one registering after that date may be placed on a waiting list.

Friends from Chesapeake Quarter will gather at Little Falls Friends Meeting. More information will be announced as plans develop.

February 22 – Deadline for Annual Session 2020 Workshop Proposals
Want to lead a Workshop at Annual Session?

If you, or a committee you are part of, wants to lead a workshop, please submit this form (www.bym-rsf.org/events/annualsession/workshopprop.html) not later than February 22. Workshops are held Thursday, Friday, and Saturday afternoons, and typically cover a range of topics that relate to the theme of Annual Session (Courage, Faith, and Hope to Love Across Our Differences), and other topics of interest to Friends. Interest group times are also available for those that want to converse with others on a topic, without the preparation needed for a full workshop. Interest group requests can be made any time before or during Annual Session.

March 21 – Third Month Interim Meeting
Hopewell Centre Monthly Meeting (Winchester, VA)

Get to know Yearly Meeting Committees and Friends from other Meetings! Be a part of important decision making. Join Friends for morning committee meetings and the afternoon’s Interim Business Meeting. Hopewell Centre Monthly Meeting will host the Third Month Interim Meeting. Friends will begin gathering at 10:00am. Committee meetings will begin at 10:30. Check the Yearly Meeting website for more information.

April 24 – 126– Family Camp Weekend
Shiloh Quaker Camp (Hood, VA)

Family Camp Weekends at Baltimore Yearly Meeting Camp Properties offer us a chance enjoy our beautiful camp properties during this delightful time of year. Individuals and families are invited to come to camp for a day or for the weekend. A program coordinator will plan camp-familiar activities for Saturday and Sunday mornings, as well as Saturday afternoon and evening. Perhaps you will explore a creek, create a crafts project, play a favorite camp game or take a hike in our precious woods. There will also be plenty of work projects to do! Work projects offer people with all kinds of skills the opportunity to enjoy some meaningful and satisfying service! We will savor meals together, have time to explore and even spend time around a camp fire in the evening. We invite you to join us for a BYM Quaker Camp experience, give the gift of your time, participate with children in activities and find yourself rejuvenated.
