Baltimore Yearly Meeting is the regional organizing unit for the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in the area of central Pennsylvania, Maryland, parts of West Virginia, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. It is through membership in a Yearly Meeting that individual Quakers become connected with the larger Quaker movement worldwide. "In fellowship, in deep listening, in waiting worship, in commitment to each other, it richly rewards those who embrace the challenge of being a Yearly Meeting Friend." Be a difference maker in our mission to end childhood cancer! Laps for Lexi is a wonderful event held each year at Sandy Spring Friends School in memory of Lexi Speight ’19. Funds raised support cancer research at Children’s National Hospital and Sandy Spring Friends School’s Lexi Speight Scholarship—an endowed fund that provides financial aid each year for a Lower School student of diverse background. Grab your family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors and join us for the 5K cross-country run or 1-mile walk.
