Baltimore Yearly Meeting is the regional organizing unit for the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in the area of central Pennsylvania, Maryland, parts of West Virginia, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. It is through membership in a Yearly Meeting that individual Quakers become connected with the larger Quaker movement worldwide. Commemoration of the Selma March

Join us at 7pm for a Commemoration of the Selma March from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama in 1965. We will partially screen the 2014 movie “Selma” and have a discussion facilitated by Jim Patterson. Jim will share his experiences as an Alabama native whose father served as a National Guardsman protecting the marchers and who appeared as a reporter in the film.
