Friendly Adult Presence Application
Baltimore Yearly Meeting of Friends

The staff and volunteers of Baltimore Yearly Meeting (BYM) intend to provide a safe and secure environment for children and youth entrusted to our care. From a place of joy and love we encourage all F/friends, young and adult, to grow in the Light. As George Fox put it, “Therefore, rouse up yourselves [adults] that you may be good patterns and examples to all your children. Bring them forth with you to your {gatherings} that they may find the Substance of that which you did formerly profess only in words. In the Power of God answer the good in them all.” Epistle 277

Youth workers hold a position of responsibility and great trust with our young people. The parents, staff, and the larger body of Friends want the safety, spiritual development, and general well-being of the children in our care to be nurtured and respected. We are grateful to all those who are called to work with youth.

We are seeking to create a written application process that represents the infinite value we place on every human being and that appreciates the generosity of spirit and talents of those adults who wish to participate. This application will also provide the kind of information that helps us discern the best use of your gifts within our youth programs. Youth work is one of the ways we express God’s love. This is the initial step in a multi-step process.

Please download the criminal records check authorization and information document here, sign and fill it out, then upload the complete document below.
