Baltimore Yearly Meeting is the regional organizing unit for the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in the area of central Pennsylvania, Maryland, parts of West Virginia, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. It is through membership in a Yearly Meeting that individual Quakers become connected with the larger Quaker movement worldwide. "In fellowship, in deep listening, in waiting worship, in commitment to each other, it richly rewards those who embrace the challenge of being a Yearly Meeting Friend." (2011 draft Faith and Practice)

BYM Spiritual Formation Retreat

Friday, May 15, 2020Sunday, May 17, 2020
Claggett Center (Adamstown, MD)

The Spiritual Formation Working Group welcomes you to our Spring retreat, which will be held at the beautiful Claggett Center in Adamstown Maryland. We will gather on the theme of prayer as both a practice and a disposition of heart and spirit. We will practice five forms of prayer, as we honor the yearnings of opening to Spirit, receiving blessings and expressing our gratitude. Come refresh and renew your spiritual being, as you share your story, community meals, conversation and fellowship with seekers throughout the BYM area. The Claggett Center offers us comfortable accommodations, lovely mountain views, and walking trails through fields and farmland. You can register here
