X-WR-CALDESC:We all age -- but we don't talk about it a lot. Adult brains
change with aging -- and often our customary ways of relating do not work
well any more. Sometimes it is family members or those closest to us where
it is most difficult to recognize these changes. We keep relating to each
other\, often without noticing how another's life has changed. Or\, if we
notice\, we don't know what to do about it. As those in our Meetings age
\, it is important for all of us to be aware of these challenges and be pr
epared to respond differently.\n \nStacey Young\, Director of the Lifestyl
e programs and the Center of Excellence in Dementia Care at Broadmead\, is
providing a workshop for Friends about how adult brains change and how to
relate to that. She will give examples and be available for questions.
\n\nBaltimore Yearly Meeting thanks Stony Run Meeting for paying for this
workshop\, which is open to all. Please invite your Meeting members\, esp
ecially clerks and committee members. If you sign up in advance\, you wil
l be sent a Zoom link. at around 5:00pm on Friday\, March 12.
