Baltimore Yearly Meeting is the regional organizing unit for the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in the area of central Pennsylvania, Maryland, parts of West Virginia, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. It is through membership in a Yearly Meeting that individual Quakers become connected with the larger Quaker movement worldwide. At 3:00pm, the Indian Affairs Committee presents Monacan Chief Kenneth Branham who will speak about Monacan history, including the former capital of Rassawek and the importance of federal recognition. Learn about what you can do to support and resolve Native concerns. There will be a light supper followed by a showing of a film at the Pocahontas Reframed Film Festival at the Byrd Theater in Richmond.
