Baltimore Yearly Meeting is the regional organizing unit for the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in the area of central Pennsylvania, Maryland, parts of West Virginia, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. It is through membership in a Yearly Meeting that individual Quakers become connected with the larger Quaker movement worldwide. Seeks a STRIDE Coordinator
Baltimore Yearly Meeting (BYM) is seeking a Coordinator for its Strengthening Transformative Relationships In Diverse Environments (STRIDE) Program. The STRIDE Program is a volunteer-based program, composed primarily of young adults who have been involved in the BYM camping program and who live in urban communities across the Mid-Atlantic. The program works to actively live out the Quaker values of community and equity by increasing the attendance, participation, ownership, and leadership of people from underrepresented backgrounds at every stage of the BYM camping program. STRIDE Core Groups carry out the work of the program. To date, Core Groups have been active in Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, DC, and Charlottesville.
Baltimore Yearly Meeting is Hiring Junior Young Friends Assistant!
The JYF Assistant works in close cooperation and collaboration with the Youth Programs Manager. Jointly, they are responsible for co-leading weekend Quaker conferences for the middle-school aged youth of Baltimore Yearly Meeting.

On May 19, Fauquier Friends Worship Group will celebrate their 5th Anniversary with a free vegan lunch and a worship-sharing topic titled "Friends With Veggie Benefits", 12:30 to 2:15 pm. The community will be invited to meet Quakers and learn or share about ways and reasons for moving toward plant-based diets. Free recipe booklets will be available. Come! Taste! See!
