Young Friends (or YF) is a self-governed community of high school age Friends (Quakers). We meet six times per year at meeting houses throughout the Baltimore/Washington area for weekend conferences (or "cons"), where we hang out, have fun and participate in workshops and other activities involving Quakerism. These cons are planned and organized by Young Friends, NOT by adult facilitators. This enables each and every member of Young Friends to take an active part in the community.
You do not need to be a member of your meeting, or even a Quaker to attend Young Friends conferences, although we conduct business in the manner of Friends and attendance at Meeting for Worship on Sundays is encouraged.
