Inside a Workcamp

What Happens

Friday evening: Campers will typically arrive at the workcamp site by 6:00 pm. Upon arrival at the site, dinner is prepared, and we eat together as a group. During the evening we get to know one another, and discuss the workcamp process and our projects for the weekend.

Saturday we awake early, make and share breakfast, and prepare bag lunches, if needed. Then it's off to the work site. In the evening, we enjoy a hearty supper, after which there is time to discuss and share our experiences with one another. And then, we depart for home.

What to Bring

Sleeping bag, pillow, towel, work clothes, thick-soled shoes or boots, a change of clothes, toiletries, bug spray, and weather-appropriate outer wear.

Optional: musical instruments, camera, board games, cards.

Don't bring: electronic games, boom boxes, walkman.

Cost

$55 for weekend camps.   This is used to pay for food, supplies, lodging, and transportation when it is provided.

Financial assistance is available. Please ask.
