Baltimore Yearly Meeting is the regional organizing unit for the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in the area of central Pennsylvania, Maryland, parts of West Virginia, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. It is through membership in a Yearly Meeting that individual Quakers become connected with the larger Quaker movement worldwide. Seeks a Development Director
The Development Director is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and securing new and ongoing gifts from individuals and foundations in support of Baltimore Yearly Meeting’s (BYM) ministries and programs. The Development Director builds relationships and affinity for BYM and for the future of the Religious Society of Friends throughout the Yearly Meeting. Candidates must have a minimum of five years of relevant and successful fundraising experience.

The Miles White Beneficial Society is accepting applications for grants up to $5000 to non-profit 501(c)3 educational organizations in the Greater Baltimore Metropolitan area.
The Educational Grants Committee of Baltimore Yearly Meeting is accepting applications for grants for post-secondary education opportunities. Grants will be awarded based on financial need and the Committee’s assessment of an applicant’s statement of purpose, including consistency with Friends’ testimonies. The application may be found on the BYM website. Please review the application carefully. Submit the application along with supporting documentation no later than Friday, April 19, 2019. Langley Hill Friends Meeting is one of the co-sponsors of a Vigil to Protest Drone Warfare every month on the 2nd Saturday at the Main Gate of the Central Intelligence Agency. The Vigils begin at 10:00 am. “War is not the Answer”, “Drones are Evil”, and “Drones kill Babies, too” are just some of the signs Quakers have been carrying.
