October 12, 2000: Put up html version of the Sept.
Interchange.
October 10, 2000: Put up (1) pdf version of the Sept.
Interchange, and (2) html version of the March Interchange.
September 26, 2000: Put in a page with a form for camping
program alumni to fill out, at Josh's request. Also put in two
announcements regarding the camping program.
September 24, 2000: Put in a link to Frederick Monthly Meeting
web site.
September 23, 2000: Updated Schools page, based on a revised
list from Annette Breiling and some checks with the FCE web site.
September 22, 2000: Finished the Summer Quaking Post
by fixing the header to have clearer lettering. Also put in some
more updates to Directory of Meetings pages.
September 18, 2000: Put up changes to the Directory
of Meetings, from pages sent to me by Pam Tyng, in response
to a mailing from Frank asking for corrections. Also, sometime
in the last month, put up a "contact" page, with e-mail addresses.
September 11, 2000: Put up, for the first time,
an issue of the Quaking Post, and made some minor
adjustments to the RE page.
September 7, 2000: Completed modifications to enhance
accessibility for visually impaired users. Checked with Cast's
"Bobby" program
(http://www.cast.org/bobby/), which ensures that
all Priority 1 Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) guidelines
have been satisfied. All pages (except the YF and YAF pages, which
are maintained separately) meet these guidelines.
September 4, 2000 Removed notices of the memorial service
for Barry Morley. Revised calendar
August 28, 2000: Updated page for FWCC gathering, and some
references to it.
August 25, 2000: Finished revising the Directory of Meetings,
O-Z. Joined site to Quaker WebRing.
August 23, 2000: Revisions to the "Contemplative Living
for Servant Leadership" course page.
August 20-24, 2000: Added the Calendar page to the menu bar.
Revised most of the remaining pages to the new design.
Updated the calendar, the notice about Barry Morley's
memorial service, and the RE page, and did cleaning up and verification
of the html code on most pages. Took first steps to put site on
the Quaker WebRing. Sent updates and additions to the list of
monthly meetings at
http://web.raex.com/~hbh/meeting.htm.
(the majority of BYM monthly meetings were missing). Updated other
listings of our site.
August 19, 2000: Revised Directory of Meetings for Meetings
beginning with G-N. Several pages updated to the new design. Silent
retreats page revised.
August 15, 2000: New design for the BYM Web site was installed.
Features include (a) better groupings of pages for easier navigation,
(b) a new Search capability that allows searching for pages in the BYM
site that contain keywords or phrases that you specify, and (c) new
menu bar that appears on major pages now (and will go on almost all
pages eventually).
August 15, 2000: Revised Directory of Meetings for Meetings
beginning with A-F.
August 7, 2000: A page was put up for the
Southeast Regional Gathering of FWCC, hosted
by BYM. Also, the calendar was
revised, and a link to the Regional Gathering page was added.
Notified FWCC Section of the Americas
about our change of URL, as well as Yahoo (which still had some
links to "igc.org/quaker"). Suggested that the
Camping Secretary notify the QIC page of the correct URL for
the Camping Program.
August 3, 2000: The Web Subcommittee (of the BYM Publications
Committee) met at the Annual Sessions (following an interest group
meeting), and approved the new design for the BYM web site. Some
review by the Publications Committee is needed, and then it will
go up. Also, Ann Marie Moriarty offered to review and edit pages
for the web site, and she will review the pages with the major
changes before they go up.
July 26, 2000: Counter for number of visits added.
July 19, 2000: This News page added. Primary purpose
is to let users see what has changed since the last time they
visited. Also helps Web Publishing Subcommittee keep track of the
site. (Some dates are approximate; dates based on records of e-mail
and a fallible memory.)
July 14, 2000: Spiritual Formation information updated.
July 13, 2000: June Representative Meeting Minutes and
Guidelines for Released Friends put up on the site.
July 10, 2000: Web page for course "Contemplative Living
for Servant Leadership" put up, replacing out-of-date QISL
page.
July 9-18, 2000: Notified www.quaker.org of change of
URL for BYM web site, notified them of two Friends schools with
web sites hosted by BYM, notified them of change of URL for three
meetings whose web sites are hosted by BYM, and notified them of
22 meetings in BYM which were not listed in their list of meetings.
July 9, 2000: Revised Young Friends pages installed,
featuring many new photographs.
July 7, 2000: Notified FGC, FUM, and FWCC
about change of URL for the BYM page. Also notified Yahoo!
and MSN directly, and several other portals via Adweb
July 5, 2000: Revised info for Silent Retreats
June 9, 2000: New URL, new host.The URL for the BYM web site
is now http://www.bym-rsf.org.
(In other words, the "/quaker/" is no longer needed as part of
our address.) If users who try the old address, They get a page
that gives the new address, and they they are transferred to the
new address in about 7 seconds.
The URLs of meetings and schools whose web sites are
hosted at the BYM web site have been further simplified (for example,
the URL for Gunpowder Monthly Meeting's web site is now
http://www.bym-rsf.org/gmm/ .)
The simplified URLs are partly a result of moving to a new
host, Exario. We will be able to use these new URLs even if
we move a new host. Our old host IGC, is changing its orientation,
and phasing out its web hosting services.

April 27, 2000: Major update to Young Friends page installed.
April 23, 2000: Put new Inward Bound
brochure up as a web page.
April 14, 2000:First Representative Meeting Minutes
(for October 1999) put up on the site.
April 12, 2000: Young Adults page and revised calendar
put up.
April 4, 2000: Interchange, new Young Friends pages,
and 1999 BYM Epistle put up on the site.
March 2, 2000: Sandy Spring meeting gets its own
domain name and moves their site away from the BYM site.
