Me-Ma

by Matthew Dillon Silver

Just a little poem with love and care

Because you taught me love

And you were always there,

I always thought you would live forever,

Which is true because your loving memories

Will leave me never.

I can’t express in words what you mean to me.

I love you, Grandma.

In my heart you will always be.

I know now you’re in a better place:

Home with Sweet Jesus sitting face to face.

One day we will be reunited.

Hold me a spot on a cloud next to you, so you can scratch my back.

One love,

Your grandson, Matt

God is good!

*I wrote this in 2002, before I had received my sentence.
