Poem From The Holy Spirit

by Deacon Leroy Ray

Jesus said when every day will come and go. Jesus said plant his Word in my heart and rest for sure. While the Word was coming through my mind stayed on Jesus, his death, burial and his resurrection, too. I believe that the Word of God is true, What God would do for me, He’ll do for you.

When I was downtown in Baltimore the inmate wanted me to pass there from door to door. When the inmate give me a note I didn’t want it to touch my hands. let the inmate put it there on a dust pan: my Bible tell me that Jesus die for my sins. I am sixty year old. My heart is still open for the Holy Spirit to stay in.

I went before the same judge four times for a bail; it was denied. When I came to the cell and pray. I asked God to move me from this jail. When I was doing my thing, the Word of God teach me how to obey my King. When I was listening at Mom Mable, Pigmeat Market. And Red Fox, too. My flesh was weak, I could see my way through.

My flesh has burdened me down; now Jesus has put me on solid ground; In 1985, I return back to God’s fold. Now I can speak God’s Word and speak it bold. When my son and I were baptized in 1985,The water was cold. It chill our body but not our soul. So I pray and ask the Lord what is wrong. The Word of God said to me that I am weak but thou art strong. Just trust in God and you will see Before you finish reading God will set you free.
