Issue 3, September 2007

As I lay at night in all my distress,
I know it’s God who put me to the test.

With the ways of the World and listening to flesh,
Following behind them helped me get in this mess.

Now I look up at Heaven and pray earnestly,
I trust that my Lord is smiling down on me.

I turned my old ways and repented of my sin,
With God by my side I will always win.

I am at peace; I’m humble and sure of my self,
Because my trust in God I’m now part of his wealth.

I’m content and calm God knows when I’m ready,
He says, “Be still, patient, read his Word
And be steady.”

Thank you, Jesus, for the love that you instilled upon me,
Without your Word or guidance who knows where I’d be.
