Issue 3, September 2007

Trapped in a world full of hate, crime, drugs murder, sex, and lies. I try to escape, but I can’t escape. The reason why? Because I’m trapped between two places: Heaven and Hell, waiting patiently for my day to come so that I can leave this place and be in Paradise— but I’m trapped. Left in the world to fend for myself with no help from the outside world, so I’m forced to become a part of this society. Wanting to move forward in life, but, like a puppet on strings, being controlled by the puppet master. I try to get up but I’m chained and shackled—forced to stay down. Soon broken free of the chains and shackles, only to find that I’m still trapped.

I’m physically strong but mentally weak, lacking knowledge, wisdom, understanding, and guidance. I let peers who surround me make decisions for me so they, too, become trapped. I lay down every night hopefully to wake up and see a change, but it’s still the same as yesterday. Finally, reality hits me and I realize that until I change, I will forever remain….TRAPPED!
