My Child

by Lloyd P. McCaskill

I pray that you have a wonderful birthday! May the Lord Jesus bless you on this wonderful day of your birth. The angels sang as you were brought forth from God through your mother.

You are a very special person—unique. The only other person in the world that is like you is God. You are an individual, a single entity from God. A part of God’s creation. Created in his image for him alone. You were made in unison with the stars of Heaven, made in the glorious light of the moon. Sanctified by his Holy Spirit, as the angels’ wings gently brushed against your face. The breath of Heaven was given to you, and you, My Child, began your life. You are a miracle—one in a 100 trillion. A prodigy, an extraordinary person. You are guided by divine providence. There is a purpose for your life. You are an ambassador, a protégé of God’s handiwork, distinctly different from all others. There will never be another person in this world like you. Look around for the evidence. Have you ever seen anything made by God that was exactly the same? Think about it. Out of the trillions of things created by God, none are the same, from the smallest insect, to the magnificent blue whale (the largest of God’s creatures). The petals of a flower are all different. Like you, the leaves of a tree to the brightest star or whitest snowflake-- no two are the same. There will never be another like you, My Child. Zebras and tigers have stripes, but no two are alike. You are special and extraordinary. No one can be compared to you. Exceptional in your manners, from the way you tilt your head, to your beautiful smile. From the graceful gait in the way you walk. No one walks like you, gracefully and with poise.

When you pray to Jesus he will listen to you in a tranquil setting. It may be on a mountain range on a starry night, by a crystal sea lake, or in your bedroom—anywhere in a quiet peaceful place. With God you transcend time and space. You surpass all others. You are not a carbon copy or a cheap imitation. God gave you innate abilities to choose how to live your life. Inquisitive and curious. Use your imagination and always be yourself. God was meticulous when he made you, from the hair on the top of your head, to the color of your eyes. You are a gift from God, an arrow in a quiver, you are mind, made from your mother and me. I tremble at the thought of life’s perils you will face. I pray God will shield you from Satan’s power and temptations. Just because everyone else is doing something doesn’t mean that it is right. Remember you and you alone are responsible for how you choose to live your life. Follow your heart and always keep Jesus in your heart. Always keep the truth in you. Learn his word and live it. Your life will be magical, blessed beyond comprehension. Happy Birthday.
