Between the holidays, a Yearly Meeting Friend made just one phone call that created a more secure retirement plan and also left a legacy for Baltimore Yearly Meeting.

In this case, a gift of appreciated stock was made. Instead of selling the stock and paying “war taxes” on the sale, it was donated to BYM by way of Friends Fiduciary’s Planned Giving program. This new Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) will provide our Friend with income for a lifetime from socially responsible investments, after which the balance will go to Baltimore Yearly Meeting.
