Dear Friend, I would like
to invite you to attend an exciting conference March 3-4. A featured speaker is
the Clerk of Ramallah Monthly Meeting, Jean Zaru, who some of you have heard
speak at your monthly meeting or at BYM. The conference is hosted by the
Washington section of Friends of Sabeel North America. Sabeel is a Palestinian
Christian organization based in Jerusalem. We encourage you to attend and to
send this notice to anyone you think might be interested. We especially
encourage you to publicize it at your monthly meeting and particularly your
Monthly Meeting's Peace and Social Concerns Committee. Please post this notice
on your meeting's bulletin board, and please circulate the Sabeel conference
notice on your meeting's newsletter or bulletins.
Also, you may wish to ask
your own monthly meeting's Peace and Social concerns Committee to serve as a
cosponsor. Names of cosponsors will appear on the program of the conference. American Friends Service Committee
is a cosponsor.
Most of all, please come
to the conference and spread the word as widely as possible among your Friends.
