From the Clerk
Dear Baltimore Yearly Meeting Friends,

“I am standing in the glory of the Light, said Fox.”

At Langley Hill Friends Meeting, on Saturday night, gathered Friends heard a Young Friend share these words that had been on her heart since learning of Tom Fox’s death in Iraq. I wish you could have been there to hear Young Friends and old Friends share how brightly Tom’s Light shines in their hearts...(more...)

Tom Fox

Our dear Friend Tom Fox has died in Iraq. We are saddened by his loss and extend our sympathy to his family, friends, and Langley Hill Meeting where Tom had his membership and Hopewell Centre Meeting where he regularly attended. Tom's courage - to follow his inner leading - to witness against war inspires us; we commit to keeping his memory alive through our own witness against war. We extend our sympathy also to the many U.S. and Iraqi families who have lost loved ones in the war and to those Iraqis whose family members are being detained by U.S. forces. Our prayers are for healing peace and justice to be with them.

Lauri Perman, Clerk
