Interchange - Spring 2007
Nurturing The Seeds Of Peace
The Womens’ Peace Exchange (formerly known
as Mothers for Peace and known in the United Kingdom
as Women to Women for Peace) will be hosting a
visit in October 2007 from two women from Palestine,
two women from Israel, and four women from the U.K.
We want to nurture new women's leadership, promote
healing by listening to each other’s stories, support
principles of nonviolence, provide place/space to
heal, and come together to problem solve about what
we can and will do going forward.
We have invited “ordinary” women, women who
are members of NGOs, faith communities, and/or political
parties but who are not already leaders. So, like us,
they are activists but not high visibility people.
We all have stories to tell, we all have reasons for
our concerns and activism. We feel that it is the regular
people who make the difference, so we want to share
our stories, listen to each other, and plan what we will
do, together, across boundaries, across continents, across
oceans, for the future.
You might want to host one of our visitors, participate
in some of our activities, or to help plan the visit.
We welcome all inquiries, help, and suggestions. Please
