You can support BYM with a New Long Distance Phone Service at 2.75 cents per minute. This is an opportunity to both contribute money each month to Baltimore Yearly Meeting at no cost to you and to save a significant amount each month yourself. Here’s how it works: By switching your long distance and/or your local toll calls (“intralata”) service to Enhanced Communications Group (ECG), ECG will contribute 10% of your phone bill to BYM automatically each month. Savings to you should range from 20-50% of your current phone bill because of the excellent wholesale rates that are being offered. To sign up online, go to the Yearly Meeting website at www.bym-rsf.org/quakers/staff/phone.shtml and simply click on the “Sign Me Up” link at the bottom of the page.

Residential and Business Rates are currently:

• State to state (interstate) - 2.75 cents per minute (all the time).
• Calling cards - 12.9 cents per minute.
• International rates vary by country (e.g., England at 5 cents/minute)
• Rates for in-state calling vary by state (e.g., MD at 5.5 cents/minute).
• No billing fees applied.
• If you choose a calling card, a one time set up fee of $0.99 will apply to each card.
• To determine your instate rates, simply click on Sign Me Up. Enter your phone number as the main number and BYM’s number, 301-774-7663, as the referring number. The rate for Intralata (local toll calls) is the same as the in-state (Intrastate) rate for your state.

Features:

• Toll free numbers are also available at the same state to state and in-state rates.
• Calling cards can be set up to be used internationally.
• All calls are billed in six-second increments. State to state, in-state and toll free calls are billed in six-second increments after the first 18 seconds. International and calling card calls are billed in six-second increments after the first 30 seconds.
• Unverified account codes (optional) can be set up at no charge.
• Toll free numbers without pin numbers can be transferred to ECG.

Friends should be aware that their local telephone company will charge a fee for switching long distance companies and a fee for switching their carrier for intralata (local toll) calls. If you call ECG Customer Service at 1 888-869-1141 to sign up, you must tell them BYM’s referral phone number, which is 301-774-7663. Once you have become a customer, you can refer your Friends to www.ecgtelefriend.com and give them your phone number as the referral number. Five percent of your F/friends bill will be deducted from your bill and BYM will receive a 5% contribution!
