Before I came to BYM I worked as a public school secretary. One day I was asked to be the "token" woman during a discipline conference. None of the three women counselors usually present were available that day. (more...)

Student Loans Available

The Educational Funding Resources Committee of BYM has funds for educational loans to qualified college and secondary school students. Loans can be up to $5,000 per academic year, and no interest is charged while the student is in school. (more...)

Susan Kaul is new at Friends House

There is a new face around Friends House. Susan Kaul, from Earlham School of Religion (ESR), is doing an "academic year" of Field Education here. Susan lives in Bethesda, Maryland, where she is a member of Bethesda Meeting. (more...)


News Of Friends Activities In Ramallah

Reconstruction and renovations of the Ramallah Meeting House, its annex and grounds are nearly completed. A group of Friends has been meeting at Friends Center, Philadelphia to discern the direction for the International Center that will be housed in the Meeting House Annex. (more...)
