First Day School Teacher Scholarships to attend BYM!

from the BYM Religious Education committee

In an ongoing effort to recognize and support the important work of First Day School (FDS) teachers in monthly meetings, the BYM RE Committee is offering 15 scholarships of $100 each toward BYM fees this summer!

The scholarships are offered to Friends who have taught FDS (for any age)

at least six times during the past twelve months.

The RE committee has long been under the weight of the growing expense of attending BYM sessions, especially for families. These scholarships, drawn from our own committee budget, are our way of supporting those who put in an extra effort at their monthly meetings by teaching FDS.

TO APPLY: complete the form below and send it to:

Sarah Buchanan-Wollaston
4544 Conowingo Road
Darlington, MD 21034

Application Deadline: Friday June 3, 2005

Applicants will be notified of the RE committee action on their applications by June 12, 2005. We will also notify the BYM office, which will apply the scholarships as a credit to the balance for attending sessions this summer.

Each person applying for a scholarship must send in a separate form.

Scholarships will be received on a first received, first served basis.

Thank you for being involved with Friends Religious Education!
